Alright it's time! Breakfast first then they explain how the bag drop off at the next BnB will work. Then it's time to start the walk! Think today should be relatively ok? A by chilly, some sun, low chance of rain, let's hope that holds
-
This is the description of today's leg from the itinerary:
Terrain: Mainly flat and low-lying; good footpaths, tracks and lanes. Some rugged bits in the centre section where the trail can be muddy. A longer road walk at the end towards Drymen.
-
This breakfast is the slowest thing ever, got here an hour ago still don't have our eggs... Luckily it's a shorter hiking day but...

We gave up on waiting, just going to go
-
Alright, starting!
-
Halfway there! Keeping phone on airplane mode for battery
-
Took a short lunch break and we're back off
-
And done! Toward the end knowing it was close by it got tougher but Day 1 is complete!
-
Think this is Loch Lomond of song fame, we'll be going along it later
-
And the stats
-
Sickness report: nose was a bit annoying at times, I did take the cold and sinus tea at like 8am but didn't re-up, will probably do the night time one later and hopefully none tomorrow? Farah's nose was also by stuffy but we made it. Once it's gone we'll take off the DBZ weights
-
Forgot to update, was just chilling and had some scones hosted by the bnb owner and then later some dinner, here's the room
-
Dinner was some weird curryish fish dish with an egg on top, was different and enjoyable
-
Nice view in front of the bnb
-
Otherwise still a bit sick, nose has been super stuffy for both of us, some shivering but hopefully tomorrow better, aches wise it seems to be gone, just the nose and random temperature fluctuations
