Haha, one day the place holders will stop, right? Anywho, today we fly back at like 2am. I started the day by packing up stuff at the Airbnb and waiting for a ride to her parents'. The plan was to make a venezuelan arepas breakfast as thanks.

So I spent some time making it because I'm not used to making food for 9 people and didn't know their stove that well. I made them with some perico which is a tomato/onion scrambled egg dish. This was accompanied by more local toppings like labaneh and local cheeses.

Also jam her grandmother made which is unusual as we never eat them with sweet toppings back home but since the arepas are basically bread cheese and jam worked well. They seemed to like it which I was glad for since I'd worried about the ratios for this many people.

Now we went to return the car before going to her grandmother's before shopping for zaatar and teas to take back. Chilling at the mall while she does that.

One thing we talked about is how much of a nightmare nthe complex web of repayments will be given the unorganized way in which drinks or hotels or miscellanea were paid for by various people that may or may not (almost certainly not) have kept receipts.
