After sleep we're off to the airport! (Un)fortunately Uber cancelled our scheduled ride only to allow us the favor of allowing us to rebook it at a higher price than we'd reserved at, hurray!

Everything looks very pretty now blanketed in snow but at least since it's not snowING hopefully plane will be ok. My biggest fear is that the checked bag is supposedly checked all the way through from yesterday but I don't have faith it will arrive with us

Past security now, had our $9 bagel, time to see if they can confirm or deny our checked bag exists

They did say our bag exists, now on the plane and ready

Plane however was not ready, we're still waiting

Finally taking off!

Huh guess wifi works for free if you're not streaming, I'm chilling watching Free Guy

Breakfast time

Was cleaning up and setting up an index thread for all trips and forgot I used to link back to the index at the start of each day... Wonder if that's even worth it, probably not a huge usability gain, if anything at the end of the day it might be more useful

Also watched Fireworks, the anime movie, after Free Guy which was fun enough, but unfortunately for Fireworks the best part of the movie is the ending credits song which I'd heard before and loved and I assumed played at some climax but nope...

We have landed, first visit to Mexico starting now

But first... More waiting! Just waiting on a runway because another plane is still at our gate.

Think that took a while to send due to spotty connection when out on the runway but now waiting to deplane

As intimidating as it looked, it actually was pretty fast now we're waiting for our baggage (1)

Now waiting for the rental car shuttle, the guy at the counter was thirsty for us to go to him, there's fierce competition but we already had a reservation

Took forever with the rental car guy, i feel like insurance rates are a scam here, I need to research this a little bit after cause damn, feel like i was getting taken for a ride but i just wanna get to the hotel and shower man

Finally at the hotel, pretty decent even if it's weird that the last floor (7) doesn't have elevator access

Now we shower and feel like humans, then go eat at La Habichuela

To get some food in!

Fish of the day and Cocobichuela which is the shrimp and lobster cooked in a curry sauce inside a coconut, the coconut thing was fine but very overpriced tbh, food was decent but not wow overall

We walked home this time as getting there was a bit struggle waiting for an Uber until we just grabbed a cab, but it was only 15 mins and running through a highway(ish) to walk back even if we were scared cause of all the stories but it was a perfectly fine walk.

Near the restaurant was some sort of street festival which looked hype but we are tired and i didn't want to take my phone out to take pictures so we're back at the hotel and ready for tomorrow

The plan is to eat breakfast, go to a thing with cenotes, then go back and meet a friend for dinner
